This series contains the card file indexes kept by Ginsberg's staff to keep track of the contents of his papers prior to their arrival at Stanford. It includes a listing of much of his prose and poetry manuscripts, his books which were stored at Columbia University, his books that were stored at his apartment, as well as the listing of the books that were sent to Stanford after his death.

Collection is open for research; materials must be requested at least 36 hours in advance of intended use.
Accessions received in 1998, 1999, 2002, 2004, and 2018 totaling some 161.5 linear feet have not yet been processed. Digital files are closed until processed.
