Scope and Content
These documents, a part of the H. H. Bancroft Collection, were collected by Thomas Savage from the San
Antonio Mission in 1878 for the Bancroft Library. They include a few papers not directly related to the
mission. For the most part the documents pertain to marriage dispensations and diligencias
matrimoniales. There are also reports on the activities of the mission and a few letters.
The documents were removed from a scrapbook and placed in folders. The numbering by which Bancroft refers
to the documents has been noted on the folders. Pages 12-17 are missing.
