The Senate Select Committee on Laws Relating to Alcoholic Beverages was created on September 13, 1972 with Senator Alan Short as chairman and Senators Arlen Gregorio and John Harmer, members. The Committee submitted its report to the Senate in August 1974. The scope of the Committee's activities is presented with Senator Short's introduction to the final report, v. 1., a copy of which is included in the files, carton 8. These files, relating to the work of the Committee, were given to The Bancroft Library in May 1975 by Senator Short.
