Biographical Note
Frank J. Taylor, a prolific free-lance magazine writer, attended
Stanford University. He worked as a newspaperman and covered WW I
as a correspondent for United Press. In 1929 his career as a
magazine writer began. He also published several historical works
and a biography. He died October 23, 1972.
Scope and Content
Includes notes, research material, correspondence, articles,
worksheets, drafts, and copies of Taylor's magazine articles for
Saturday Evening Post, Reader's Digest, Country Gentlemen, and
Collier's. Major subjects include agriculture, gardening,
aviation, personalities, foreign countries, Stanford University,
and various industrial topics. Also included are notes, research
material, and drafts of some of Taylor's books, including SOUTHERN
PACIFIC and BLACK BONANZA.
