Description
Waldemar Christian Westergaard (1882-1963) was a historian who specialized in Scandinavian and European history. The collection consists of correspondence, transcripts and copies of documents and manuscripts, clippings,and photographs regarding Westergaard's career, research, and writings.

Waldemar Christian Westergaard was born February 4, 1882 in Buffalo, North Dakota; attended University of North Dakota, University of California at Berkeley, Cornell, Stockholm University; specialized in Scandinavian and European history; taught at Pomona College and UCLA (1925-1949); died in 1963.
