Biographical / historical:

The Lanclin McLaine Bank was a privately owned bank in Volcano, California. Lanchlin McLaine came to Amador County in October, 1850, and was a miner for 10 years. In 1869, he began business as a banker and broker. By 1879, he worked as Superintendent of the Consolidated Amador Hydraulic Gold Mining and Lands Company and the Amador Canal and Volcano Ditch Company.
