The last two pieces are Bowen's notebooks of his tests and adjustments to the 200-inch Hale Telescope mirror. As described by Allan R. Sandage, "they record the progress of the Hartmann tests on the mirror in place, and the adjustments of the back support system. They are very valuable archival records...."
