Camp Alert, Camp Drum, Owens River Valley, Fort Tejon, Camp Union, Camp Jackson, Camp Waite, Smoke Creek (Nevada).
"Company D, after leaving Camp Alert, went to Camp Independence, in Owens River Valley, remaining there until August 1863." Eventually, the company "Moved to Camp Union (Sacramento County), where the original members were mustered out...during the months of September and October 1864." The company reorganized and moved to several locations before returning to Camp Union where it mustered out May 29, 1866. Records of California Men in the War of the Rebellion, compiled by Richard H.
