Description
Letters from Simmons to his parents, expense accounts, class registration cards, and memorabilia, 1891-1895, from Simmons' student days at Stanford University. Subjects include his academic schedule, grades, fraternity affairs, and difficulties the University faced during the settlement of Leland Stanford's estate.
Background
Simmons was a Stanford University undergraduate from 1891 to 1895, receiving an A.B. in chemistry. He received an M.D. from Harvard in 1899.
