primarily on international studies and the status of ROTC on campus (1968-1971). The ROTC
material includes Dr. Brooks' negotiations with the Armed Services to have military training
at Stanford phased out.

Dr. E. Howard Brooks served as Vice Provost of Stanford University from the summer of 1966
to the summer of 1971.
