Collection consists of family correspondence of the Briggs family, 1822-1858; letters to Catherine E. Briggs from her students and friends in France, 1919-1935; clippings from Los Angeles newspapers ca. 1925; and booklets, photographs and insignia from World War I.

Biographical / historical:

Catherine Briggs was a high school teacher of social sciences at Beverly Hills High School in the 1920s and 1930s.
