    Biography

    Ross Martin was born Martin Rosenblatt in Grodek, Poland (ca. 1920). He came to the US as an infant and grew up in NYC, NY. Though he earned a law degree, Martin chose to work in public relations. He started acting on the Janice Gray radio series and went onto various roles on Broadway, televsision and motion pictures. He is best known for his role as Artemus Gordon in the 1960s television series The Wild Wild West. Martin passed away at the age of 61 in July 1987.

    Scope and Content

    Collection consists of materials related to Ross Martin's acting career. The bulk of the collection is photographs from various projects including The Wild Wild West and The Twilight Zone. Also included is script material and ephemera from a series of Dodge commercials, and miscellaneous articles about Martin. Notably absent from the collection are scripts from The Wild Wild West television series, but for one episode, The Night of the Sorcere.
