Scope and Content

The series consists of military orders for Colonel Huff's service in the US Navy from 1918 to 1936, and in the US Army from 1941 to 1955. These orders consist of his commissions, retirement records, assignments in the Navy, and Army assignments during World War II, the occupation of Japan and the Korea Conflict.

Scope and Content

The series consists of Colonel Huff's correspondence from 1933 to 1966. This period encompasses his retirement from the US Navy, service as a Naval advisor in the Philippines, service in the US Army in World War II, the occupation of Japan, and the Korean conflict; the writing of his book, and the donation of his papers.

Scope and Content

The series consists of Colonel Huff's US Army personnel files which are referred to as 201 files. A 201 file is set of documents maintained by the US government for members of the United States armed forces. The files encompass the period from 1949-1952 including his service during the occupation of Japan and the Korean Conflict.

Series 4: Biography, Report, and Speech. 1941-1951.

Scope and Content

The series consists of reports on the campaigns in the Philippines in 1941 and 1945, biographical information on General MacArthur used by Colonel Huff to write his book, My fifteen years with General MacArthur (1964), and a speech dated June 17th which refers to his years of service with General MacArthur. The biographical information is from Time magazine, Cyclopedia and Who's Who.

Scope and Content

The series consists of two photo albums of photos from Colonel Huff's Naval service from 1918 to 1936, and photographs from his service as General MacArthur's aide-de-camp from 1936-1951. The bulk of photographs are official photographs from the US Army Signal Corps and the US Navy.

Scope and Content

The series consists of two oversize scrapbooks with ephemera, news clippings, and photos from Colonel Huff's Naval service from 1918 to 1936, and from his service with General MacArthur in World War II dating from 1942 to 1943. There are also ephemera from his post war service from 1948-1962 including a phonograph record of General MacArthur's 1962 West Point speech and a paperback copy of his book, My fifteen years with General MacArthur (1964).

Scope and Content

The series consists of news clippings dating from 1930 to 1958. The clippings encompass the military service of Colonel Huff including his Naval service, and Army service in World War II, the occupation of Japan, and the Korean Conflict. Many of the clipping focus on General MacArthur, who Col. Huff served as an aide-de-camp, including a 1951 serialization of Col. Huff's book, My fifteen years with General MacArthur, from the Saturday Evening Post.
