Abstract:
This collection consists of various ephemera about Orange County, California from various donors. Subjects and materials include flyers, brochures, and programs concerning Orange County political and election issues and cultural events; political campaign materials for the 1978 state and local elections; a postcard book and color print plus envelope depicting San Juan Capistrano; Orange County history; and materials on the cities of Anaheim, Costa Mesa, El Toro Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, San Clemente, Santa Ana, Tustin, Crystal Cove State Park, and Orange County water issues.

Scope and content:

This collection consists of various ephemera about Orange County, California from various donors. Subjects and materials include flyers, brochures, and programs concerning Orange County political and election issues and cultural events; political campaign materials for the 1978 state and local elections; a postcard book and color print plus envelope depicting San Juan Capistrano; and materials on the cities of Anaheim, Costa Mesa, El Toro Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, San Clemente, Santa Ana, Tustin, Crystal Cove State Park, and Orange County water issues. A 2013 addition to the collection includes brochures, programs, fliers, pamphlets, newspapers, and other ephemera documenting civic and cultural events in the city of Irvine and greater Orange County. Materials collected from the 2013 Orange County Pride Festival and Orange International Street Fair are also represented. A 2018 addition to the collection includes ephemera documenting the debate surrounding turning the El Toro Marine Corps Air Station into the Great Park.
