Encina Club, 1906-1918, primarily concerning use of the club room. Addenda, 2024-016
contains the incoming correspondence of Judge Bert Fesler, the first master of Encina
Hall.
Background
Encina Hall was the first men's dormitory at Stanford. In October 1891, Bert Fesler was the
first Master of Encina Hall after being contacted directly by David Star Jordan to oversee
its operations.
