Historical note
The Council on Educational Development was designed in the late 1960's to study and encourage educational reforms and innovations;
sanction extra-departmental experimental courses and programs; monitor such courses and programs; and pursue the transfer
of successful courses and programs to the regular curriculum.
Scope and Content
Record Series 294 contains the records of the University of California Academic Senate, Los Angeles Division, Council on Educational
Development. Files include reports to and from the Council, lists of Council-sponsored courses, minutes of Council meetings,
and course proposals.
