Peter Stansill and David Mairowitz published a book in 1971 entitled BAMN (By Any Means Necessary) Outlaw Manifestos and Ephemera 1965-70. Both were underground activists during the late 1960s, a time when students in the United States and Europe were reacting to the Vietnam War and the general state of affairs by joining such groups as The Weathermen, Black Panthers, Save the Police Committee, The White Panthers, to name only a few. The collection, Stansill's and Mairowitz's accumulated background research, consists of posters and ephemera published by these groups and the author's correspondence regarding the publication of the book.
