Scope and content:

All the audiovisual materials from the archive are collected in Series IV. Included here is audio material produced by High Performance such as the special Issue 23, and works produced under the High Performance Audio label. The bulk of the series, however, is comprised of a variety of audio and video recordings of performances and interviews, a mixture of both professionally produced and home-recorded material. The recordings are identified here by transcriptions of the label on the piece. For most of these recordings, normal reformatting request procedures are in effect. Please note, however, that due to mold infestation, reformatting and access to the materials in Boxes 239-251 will be significantly delayed and it may be impossible to reformat some items. For more information about reformatting, contact Library Reference. Online access to selected digitized audio recordings is available to on-site readers and Getty staff.

Arrangement:

The materials in this series are arranged in five groups: High Performance Issue 23, High Performance Audio, Innovative Music from the Pacific Coast, general audiovisual materials, audiovisual materials potentially not able to be reformatted, and miscellaneous papers.
