Scope and content:

The media series contains photographs, negatives, glass negatives, photographic printing plates, and reel-to-reel tapes. Materials span from the 1880s to 1968 and document many of St. Denis's dances and live performances, publicity photos, her travels, the Denishawn dancers, her students, and her personal life.

Arrangement:

The majority of the materials are arranged in chronological order, expect those that are arranged in alphabetical order according to dance title.
