Description
Vigfus Asmundson (1895-1974) served as Professor of Poultry Husbandry at the University of California, Davis from 1933-1967. His Papers contain two project files related to his research with poultry growth and reproduction in turkeys, as well as reprints of a number of his articles.
Background
Vigfus Samundur Asmundson was born on September 24, 1895 in Reykjavik, Iceland. He received a B.S. from the University of Saskatchewan (1918), an M.S. from Cornell University (1920), and a Ph.D in Genetics and Poultry Husbandry from the University of Wisconsin (1930).
