    Scope and Content of Collection

    One Civil War era letter (ALS) from Hattie Bryant to N. H. Willets, re personal matters and reports of many Confederate soldiers being women dressed in men's clothes. Wonders if this is true. Also worries about the great many wives who have lost husbands and children, "and it is all for the sake of them Niggers." Covington, 30 Oct. 1862.
