Description
Pamphlets relating primarily to World Wars I and II in Europe and to other aspects of 20th century European history. Collected by the San Francisco Public Library.
Background
The San Francisco Public Library opened in 1879 after the Rogers Act, which created a board of trustees and a property tax to fund the library, was enacted by Governor William Irwin. In 2015, the main library and 27 branch libraries make up the public library system of the city of San Francisco, California.
