Biographical/Historical Sketch
The Athletic Committee of the ASSU was organized in the fall of 1894, by-laws were adopted by the committee on October 30,
1894. The committee oversaw intercollegiate contests, management of the various sports on campus, conduct of athletes, and
other aspects of athletic competition. The committee's work was assumed by the Board of Control (established by the University
Trustees) in 1905.
