MS 2 A 316 ALABAMA. GENERAL ASSEMBLY. 1852. Joint resolutions presented by Mr. Phillips of Mobile to the House of Representatives, in reference to the construction of a ship canal across the peninsula of Florida. [Montgomery, 1852]

 

MS 2 B 637 BLAKSLEE, DAVID Deed, 1799 April 1, Plymouth, Litchfield County, Conn. Transferring title to a certain parcel of land to Tilea Seymor, for the consideration of $80. Ms. on printed form.

 

MS 2 C 426 CHANG DAI-CHIEN. Card and letter of Professor Chang Dai Chien, thanking the University of the Pacific for his honorary degree. Letter is composed of Chinese calligraphy. Translation available. December 19, 1974.

 

MS 2 C 467 CHAPPELL, JAMES. Papers, 1863-1869. In part, ms. on printed form (with seals & stamps). New York businessman. Legal papers and receipts, including canal boat lease and mortgage on land located in Monroe County.

 

MS 2 D 796 DRURY, WARD. Ward Drury, a College of the Pacific student, went to China in 1934 as part of a student exchange program with Lingnan University. During the yearlong program, he was immersed in Chinese culture. After the program Drury continued to travel from 1935-1936. He traveled to Ankor Wat, “Indo China,” Siam, Ceylon, Persia, Palestine, Iraq, Greece, Bali, India, and Egypt. When Drury returned home to Stockton, California he began giving “Education Travel Lectures” based on his experiences. The collection is made up of correspondence during his travels, material for his lectures, and correspondence about his lectures.
