This collection contains administrative records, press clippings, and other material from the Riverside Youth Concert Series,
an organization in Riverside, California that provided affordable fine arts performances to local children from 1962-1978.
Background
The Riverside Youth Concert Series was founded in 1962 by members of the Riverside performing arts community to provide affordable
fine art performances to local children. The goal of the organization was to showcase local performing organizations, encourage
students to attend local cultural events, and provide educational experiences to local youth. The Youth Concert Series provided
theater, dance, music, and art events with the cooperation of numerous local arts groups, including the Riverside Symphony
Orchestra, the Riverside Art Association, the Riverside Opera Association, and the Riverside Community Players, until the
organization disbanded in 1978.
