William Harry Lange (1912-2004) served as Professor of Entomology at the University of California, Davis. His papers contain
correspondence from 1943-1951 regarding work on insecticides and their usefulness in controlling crop pests, reprints of his
articles, and some research materials related to experiments with the artichoke plume moth and wireworms.
William Harry Lange was born in San Francisco on September 12, 1912. He received a B.S. (1933), M.S. (1934), and PhD in Entomology
(1941) from the University of California, Berkeley.
