Description
These papers pertain to his student days at Stanford University and include letters to Ruth Scibird, 1953-54, with his recollections of the Camp (cooperative student housing), the theft of the night watchman's dog in the arboretum, and the first volunteer fire department on campus; his account of an incident at the Camp written on Oct. 23, 1897; typescript "The Story of the Axe," author unknown; and a watercolor sketch by Eric Knight Jordan, 1900, with a letter to Ruth Scibird explaining its creation.
