Booksellers' Correspondence ca. 1710-1854

Scope and Content Note

Comprised of letters and some printed materials, the booksellers' correspondence includes letters from book collectors, the publishing firm Nichols & Co, scholars, authors (including James Ford, William Preston, Joao Lineu Jordao), political figures (probably the Duke of Dorset and Charles Morice Pole), as well as a note perhaps (per dealer) by W. Godwin, and the address portion of a letter to �Samuel Richardson, Printer.�
