Abstract: Swan Press was organized by the firm Sign of the Swan, and operated as a private press in London and Leeds, England. The collection

Cleopatra.

Scope and Content
Collection consists of correspondence, proofs, papers, booklets, and pamphlets. Includes letters to and from printer Sydney
Matthewman, editor J.A. Symington, and from Herbert Read, as well as correspondence relating to the copyright to Cleopatra
by Algernon Charles Swinburne. Also includes the Swan edition of
Cleopatra, and 55 booklets and pamphlets published or printed by this private press.
