    Biography

    Clark was born in 1945; taught oral history and Los Angeles history at UCLA, UCLA Extension, and California State University, Los Angeles, beginning in 1974; wrote L.A. on foot: a free afternoon (1972), Los Angeles, a city apart: an illustrated history (1981), Avery International Corporation 50-year history, 1935-1985 (1988), and Database design: applications of library cataloging techniques (1991).

    Scope and Content

    Collection consists of more than 100 papers presented by students in the oral history and Los Angeles history classes taught by Clark at UCLA, UCLA Extension, and California State University, Los Angeles. Papers include The Jewish residency in Boyle Heights, Chouinard Art Institute: its final years, etc.
