Description
Robert H. Power, restaurateur and historian, authored Drake's Landing in California: a Case for San Francisco Bay (1973) and Francis Drake & San Francisco Bay: a Beginning of the British Empire (1974). The collection contains correspondence, commission work notes, exhibits, newspapers and magazine articles, publications and speeches, and research project notes related to Power's interest in Francis Drake and the San Francisco Bay.
Background
Robert Harbison Power (April 19, 1926-May 13, 1991) was a general partner in the Nut Tree restaurant which was founded by his parents in 1921 in Vacaville, California. A historian, he authored Drake's Landing in California: a Case for San Francisco Bay (1973) and Francis Drake & San Francisco Bay: a Beginning of the British Empire (1974), among other works.
