The views show cityscapes (including several sections of a panoramic view from atop the Fairmont Hotel, Nob Hill), fires burning, earthquake and fire damage, refugees and refugee camps, street kitchens, and looters. Among the buildings and locations pictured are City Hall, Hall of Justice, Valencia Street Hotel, Mission District, Market St., South of Market District, Wholesale District and Financial District. Photoraphers include the Pillsbury Picture Co., A.L. Murat, C.V. Estey, Willard E. Worden and True E. Hecht.
