This series contains newspaper and magazine clippings, writings by others, agreements, notes, and correspondence on various people, events, and subjects. The bulk of this series consists of clippings, which are arranged chronologically in cartons 21-27, and scattered throughout the rest of the series under various topics. Subjects included in this series are Hetch-Hetchy; Japanese issues; politics, including campaign materials; Prohibition; the Santo Domingo Investigation; and San Francisco, including topics such as adornment, bridges, charter revision, corruption, earthquakes, growth and development, labor issues, land acquisition, and social issues.
