The collection is comprised on 93 photographic slides, all in color. Each slide is kept in a plastic sleeve within a single polypropylene binder. 22 cover the Sacramento High School – C.K. McClatchy High School football game on November 23, 1961; 27 cover the Sacramento High School – C.K. McClatchy High School football game on November 23, 1962; 2 cover the 27 cover the Sacramento High School – C.K. McClatchy High School football game on November 28, 1974; 7, taken in November 1962, cover redevelopment in Sacramento's West End; 8 capture California Middle School prior to its retrofit in the 1970s; 6 show students at C.K. McClatchy High School in June 1959; the remaining 12 show the California State Capitol building in 1961, the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, the Alhambra Theatre in 1974, the Western Pacific Depot, and the construction of Country Club Lanes; the final 5 slides capture nature spots in California: one in Squaw Valley in 1964 and four of Yosemite National Park in 1947 and 1967. Five 3-inch by 5-inch acetate negatives of Yosemite and a single black and white photograph print of Lindberg are included.

Eugene Rudolph Lindberg was born in Berkeley, California, on March 22, 1904. He grew up in the Fresno area and eventually attended what would become Fresno State University, then graduating with a degree in civil engineering and a teaching certificate in 1929. He also earned a master's degree in physics from the University of Southern California. In 1930, he joined the faculty of Sacramento High School, teaching physics and photography. When C.K. McClatchy High School opened in 1937, he transferred there. He taught physics, chemistry, and physical science until his retirement in 1968. Lindberg passed away in 1997.
