A collection of personal and buiness papers related to the life of Joseph Philip Loeb, California attorney and civic leader.
Background
Joseph Philip Loeb (1883-1974) was a Los Angeles attorney and civic leader. In 1938, he founded the firm of Loeb and Loeb along with his brother, Edwin J. Loeb. Joseph Philip Loeb was appointed to the California State Board of Education in 1943, 1947, and 1951. Loeb was a supporter of various charitable programs as well as interested in the writing of poetry.
