Description
Addison Pickerill was a successful preacher in the Churches of Christ. His papers are comprised of handwritten sermons, scrapbooks of clippings of Pickerill's writings, his preacher's diary, and a photograph.
Background
Addison Pickerill was born in Brown County, Ohio January 8, 1838, but spent the majority of his life in Colorado, Kansas, and Missouri. He was a successful preacher in the Churches of Christ for many decades. He began preaching in 1864 at Mount Olive, Ohio. He assisted in organizing the first Church of Christ in Pueblo, Colorado.
