Background

Scope and content:

Most of the photos in this album are of the right-of-way along the Tucson Division in Arizona showing meticulous track and ballast work. They depict the roadbed with slag ballast and white rock toe line. Subjects include: outfit cars along a siding west of Tucson, crossing under the El Paso & Southwestern, the west end of the double track at Stockham, AZ, paving the 6th Avenue crossing in Tucson in 1921, the Benson Bridge wash-out in 1922, Yuma and the Colorada River showing Junction City and Prison Hill and the Stein River Quarry.
