Organizational History
The division of Student Affairs is organized in clusters based on the services provided to
students: Auxiliary Services, Enrollment Services, Student Life & Leadership, and
Wellness, Health & Counseling Services. Departments within each cluster are listed
below.UCI Student Affairs oversees the Auxiliary Services, Enrollment Services, Student Life
& Leadership, and Wellness, Health & Counseling Services. The Dean of Students,
Student Life and Leadership is responsible for promoting student leadership through diverse
student experiences. The office was previously named the Dean of Students. The Wellness,
Health & Counseling Services is responsible for creating a comprehensive approach to
well-being through opportunities that include feeding of the soul with what endures,
creativity, self-discovery, challenge, civility and respect, and promoting personal
development and transformation. This office was previously named Counseling and Health
Services. Enrollment Services is responsible for academic resources. This unit is
represented in a separate Publication Series, PS-021. The Auxiliary Services unit provides
the campus with products and services, including the UCI Bookstore, Hospitality & Dining
Services, Student Housing, Student Center & Event Services, and Student Government.
