Includes correspondence, student papers and biographical information of Anna Lohrenz. Most of the biographical information was compiled by her daughter, Mariana Lohrenz Remple. Much of the correspondence is with her children, Mariana Lohrenz Remple and Henry Herbert Lohrenz, and her son-in-law, Henry D. Remple.

Anna (Friesen) Lohrenz was born in South Russia in 1877. She migrated with her family to the United States at age two. The family initially settled in Boone County, Nebraska, and moved to Mountain Lake, Minnesota when Anna was seventeen. After completing high school in Mountain Lake, she attended McPherson College in Kansas before graduating from Mankato State Teachers College in Minnesota. She taught for several years in rural public schools in Minnesota. In 1906 she married Henry W. Lohrenz, who later became the founding president of Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kansas. Anna Lohrenz played an active role in the lives of students at Tabor College for many years. She remained in Hillsboro, Kansas, for the rest of her life, and died there in 1975.
