Scope and Content
Manuscripts, teaching files, photographs, and 63 original color paintings by poet, novelist, and UCSB English Professor Barry
Spacks (1931-2014). Teaching files contain syllabi and single copies of handouts for literature and writing courses. In addition
to photographs and correspondence, the collection contains poetry manuscripts, personal/biographical files, screenplays, and
stories.
Arrangement
The collection has been divided into four series: Series 1. Paintings; Series 2. Teaching; Series 3. Writing; 4. Biographical/Miscellaneous.
File names retain the creator's naming convention.
