Scope and content:

A collection of raw audiovisual footage used in the making of Take Back America: Brown, '92 (1992), a video made by Aysha Quinn for Edmund G. (Jerry) Brown, Jr.'s Pennsylvania campaign during the 1992 Democratic Party presidential primary elections. The collection includes footage shot in Homestead, Pennsylvania and New York, as well as excerpts from the Brown campaign's national campaign video. Quinn worked with volunteers from New York and Pittsburgh, the Carnegie Melon Electronic Arts Department, and the Encore Entertainment Post Production House to produce, direct, edit, and distribute the tape across Pennsylvania within a few days. Beyond Pennsylvania, Take Back America: Brown, '92 also aired in New York through the WNET (NYC) channel 13 television station. The collection consists of 24 video cassettes. The recordings are on VHS, U-matic, Betacam, and Hi8 cassettes. Dave Channon, another volunteer for the Brown campaign, shot the New York City footage at a rally in Union Square, while Aysha Quinn--with other volunteers--shot and edited the footage from Homestead, Pennsylvania.
