This collection primarily documents George A. Rasula's research on the Battle of the Chosin Reservoir, compiled during his tenure as a historian and writer. It includes correspondence, dossiers on soldiers who served at Chosin, veterans' accounts, manuscripts, and other research materials related to military units. The collection also contains records from the Chosin Few veterans' associations and materials from Chosin Few reunions. Writings and publications in the collection include manuscripts from fellow veterans, photographs, maps, and association files from the" Changjin Journal" (U.S. Army Chapter, The Chosin Few), the "Chosin Few Digest" (Chosin Few, Inc.), and Rasula's e-book "The Chosin Chronology" (2016).
The Chosin Few, Inc. published the "Chosin Few News Digest" (1985-2006), a newsletter primarily written for Marine members. The "Changjin/Chosin" newsletter, produced by the U.S. Army Chapter of the Chosin Few, was published between 1986 and 1999. Rasula, with contributing editor Byron Sims, authored the "Changjin Journal," which is available online through the New York Military Affairs Symposium.

George Arthur Rasula (1920β2019) was a career Army officer who served in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. He participated in the Battle of Chosin Reservoir during the Korean War and later served as logistics advisor to the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon and as Army AttachΓ© to the American Embassy in Helsinki from 1962 to 1965. Rasula held various ranks during his military career, from first lieutenant to colonel, and served from 1942 to 1974.
In retirement, Rasula was active in veteran organizations, including the Chosin Few, Inc., and served as the historian for its newsletter, The Chosin Few Digest. He authored the e-book The Chosin Chronology, Battle of the Changjin Reservoir, 1950 in 2016, documenting the historic campaign.
