Description
The CSRM Postcard Collection contains about 15,000 postcards depicting railroads primarily of the United States and Canada,
railroad related subjects and is dated between 1905 and the 1970's.
Background
Besides being a form of correspondence, postcards were bought for the scenes and events that were important at the time. The
collection has been developed by donations from individuals who believed the cards had relevance to railroads and railroading,
as well as other subjects throughout the United States.

Copyright has not been assigned to the California State Railroad Museum. All requests for permission to publish or quote from
manuscripts must be submitted in writing to the Librarian. Permission for publication is given on behalf of the CSRM as the
owner of the physical items and is not intended to include or imply permission of the copyright holder, which must also be
obtained by the reader.
