Scope and content:

Collection contains 57 color slides and accompanying commentary by Tanya Joyce about the celebration in San Francisco’s Duboce Park at the end of the 1976 Gay Freedom Day Parade. The slides were taken by Jim Joyce, who died in 1993; most of the images were captured from the third floor of 47 Potomac Street, right across from the park.
