The collection features recorded audio and video interviews with former revolutionaries, including Marxists, Contras, political activists, combatants, academics, ambassadors, and members of NATO and the UN. The interviewees come from a range of countries, such as Nicaragua, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Mexico, Cuba, the United States, Canada, France, Thailand, the Philippines, and the Netherlands. Most interviews are one-on-one conversations between Dr. Timothy Brown and various former revolutionary activists. Highlights include interviews with female combatants, Cuban and Mexican supporters of Honduran revolutionary movements, acquaintances of Fidel Castro, and a senior Nicaraguan Contra field commander who was assassinated in Managua. The collection also contains handwritten documents, computer printouts, correspondence with Central American Marxists, pamphlets, newspaper clippings, manifestos, and detailed national statistics on Central American communist movements from 1928 to the late 1930s.
Additionally, the collection includes notes, correspondence, and drafts relating to Brown's books and writings.
