    Biographical / Historical

    Alfred B. Summers was a U.S. Deputy mineral surveyor from California; he made surveys of mines in Northern California.

    Scope and Contents

    A collection of approximately 330 items from approximately 1875 to 1909, it consists of letters, documents, 17 field books, survey notes, and maps related to various California mines in Amador, Calaveras, Colusa, El Dorado, Mariposa, Tuolumne, and Yuba counties.

    Processed by Huntington Library Staff, circa 1940. In 2020, Gayle Richardson created the finding aid derived from a legacy summary report.
