Description
The collection includes photographic prints, photographic slides, pedigree charts, and other information about horses that were bred by Neal and Marjorie McKinstry of McKinstry Arabians in Colorado.
Background
Marjorie (Widmoyer) McKinstry (1922-2002), was born in Oklahoma and earned a degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas. Neal McKinstry (1919-2007) was born in Jackson, Wyoming and earned a degree in Ranch Management from Colorado A & M and served in the Army during World War II. Neal later worked for the Soil Conservation Service, which was part of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), from 1945 to 1974.
