Abstract: William Hill Topping (b.1885) served as a missionary in Foochow, China from November 1911-1947 supported by the American Board
of Commissioners for Foreign Missions. He served as a teacher, District Secretary and Associate General Secretary of the Mid-Fukien
Synod of the
Church of Christ in China. The collection consists of 16 daily diaries kept by Mr. Topping after his retirement, from 1947
to 1968.

Scope and Content of Collection
The Collection consists of 16 daily diaries kept by Mr. Topping from 1947 to 1968. Entries include references to speaking
engagements and churches attended in Whittier and other Los Angeles area cities, as well as lists of correspondents, expenses
and occasional notes on lectures attended.
