Scope and Contents
These files contain background articles, photographs, drafts of legal documents, and newspaper clippings documenting the planning
of the purchase by the Santa Barbara Trust for Historic Preservation and the Land Trust for Santa Barbara County of the Santa
Inés Mission Mills in 1996. The 38-acre parcel includes a fulling mill, a grist mill and two reservoirs, along with agricultural
land. Included in the files is a black and white print of the mills from 1889 and a small folder of information about the
Carl Rasmussen family who lived on the property from 1911 to 1985.
