Biographical / historical:

The California State Railroad Museum Corporate Miscellany Collection is a collection of miscellaneous material assembled by the Califonia State Railroad Museum Library & Archives' staff since 1981. The purpose for the collection is to gather loose items relevant to specific corporations, and to have them accessible for researchers interested in a particular railroad. It may serve as a supplementary collection of research material in association with a specific corporate collection found in the California State Railroad Museum Library & Archives. In addition, it may be the only subject file(s) relevant to a railroad whose official records are not in the repository.

Items have been accrued over the years through several donations and transfers, then filed into subjects in alphabetical order pertaining to individual railroads. Over the years, some items have been separated and cataloged individually.
